Prime Minister in waiting at Sungai Buloh, are the people of Sungai Buloh up to it?

Today I continue to witness Datok R. Ramanan from Pakatan Harapan attacking his opponent. He has earlier questioned Khairy over a past issue which has already been settled. Afterall, if there was any wrongdoing on Khairy part in those issues or if he was corrupted, I am sure he would have been under investigation during Mahathir second coming between 2016 to 2018.

When it did not work out, he switched his tactic.

Harapan started declaring the asset values of their candidates yesterday, and Mr. Ramanan was declared with over MYR 60 million worth of asset.

He was quick to direct the reporter to ask Khairy about his asset.

I really question the legitimacy of asset declaration. I find that it serves no other purpose than misleading people into believing that it indicates how clean the politicians are. Furthermore, it allows opponents with justifications for further attack.

What if Khairy is known to have lots of asset, even more than Ramanan? Should we then breakdown the source of his wealth? Can he not inherit his richness? Does it even indicate if he is corrupted at all?

If his asset is very low, does it mean that he is of lesser right of serving the people? Should he then be despised as a poor and have not?

When people asked him for the breakdown of his asset, Ramanan was quick to brush it off that the voters are not interested to know how many rings he has. I really wonder then how he manage to secure such large amount of wealth. Furthermore, I am interested to know if how much tax did Mr. Ramanan under report. Would he be interested to clarify, or simply say people not interested to know.

In fact, with the declaration of their wealth, we see that there are many millionaires or even Billionaires in Harapan, can they all elaborate as to how they accumulate their wealth?

The truth here is that asset declaration is on volunteer basis, and you can't blame others of not doing so if you are following your leader's instruction blindly, with exception to opposition, of course.

With such amount of wealth, I truly question if he understands the plight of the man on the street, and that he can truly serve the people of their needs.

Khairy on the other hand, has shown his dedication and ability through his handling of Covid-19, reducing the infection from 30,000 plus a day to a mere hundred.

I can understand the reason for the relentless attacks, Ramanan is new to the territory, he is taking over the role from his colleague on the constituency. He can't say a thing as to what his predecessor did badly, and he does not have success story yet in politics. worst, he is facing a very strong opponent with strong motivation to succeed.

However, there are more than one way to promote himself. He can relate to the people his hard work to his status today, and that he can duplicate the formula to Sungai Buloh, he can even tell the people about bring Sungai Buloh to the next level.

Unless of course, his path of success is stepping on others to reach where he is now.

There is no need for negative campaign, it only shows that he has nothing to show and unprepared. In my industry, it only indicates he is a follow and not a leader. Leader only focusses forward, while follower focuses on his opponent.

Khairy on the other hand is inspiring, his campaign is about the future and his aspiration to lead the country. He even maintains that he is ready, and the only thing left is to prove himself to the people.

My question to the people of Sungai Buloh: Do you want a follower or a future prime minister to represent you?
